Dear parents and carers

On Monday 22nd April we will be supporting our brilliant Lollipop Lady Mrs Cooper as she 'Braves the Shave' for Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as keeping all of our school community safe on the road outside school every day, Mrs Cooper has decided to support people going through the toughest of times by shaving her head for Macmillan.

Mrs Cooper has been growing her hair for 8 years and it will all be coming off in front of a live audience in our school assembly on Monday. As well as hopefully raising money for this great charity, her hair will also be donated to make wigs for people going through chemotherapy treatment.

Macmillan is one of our named charities at school this year, chosen by our pupils back in September. If anyone would like to make a voluntary donation to support Mrs Cooper and Macmillan, it can be done via the link in the MCAS shop, or by bringing in cash on Monday next week.

We are looking forward to Monday's assembly and cheering Mrs Cooper on!

The year 8's have been looking at computer networks and the physical aspects of computers. This lesson the year 8's worked in groups to dismantle, investigate and reassemble a computer. The pupils worked well sharing the tasks out and being able to physically see and feel the computers components. The pupils enjoyed the lesson and there may even be a few future Hardware technicians in the making!

Today our Careers week finished with pupils coming to school 'Dressed up as a job!' We have been really impressed by how many different jobs have been represented and the effort that some of the pupils have gone to.
A winner was picked from each year group and they received a prize of a notebook and pen.
