The Doodle Spring Challenge
Between 1st - 30th April, Doodle Maths are running an exciting Spring Challenge with a chance for pupils to earn a pin badge to reward their efforts. YEAR 5 enjoyed a fantastic visit from author Jenny Pearson today as part of our World Book Day celebrations this month. It was a fun presentation with quizzes, books, and challenges. Children were able to buy a signed copy of her books. If any more children would like one of Jenny's books, you can order one on the link shared last week. Today a team of 4 excellent Mathematicians from Year 8 represented Highfield Middle School at the first Cheviot Trust Team Maths Competition, held at Ovingham Middle School.
They joined up with some Y9 pupils from PCHS to form two teams, which finished 2nd and 4th out of 8 teams! They had a great time and came back with plenty of chocolate!
