Year 5 Safety Works Trip

YEAR 5 SAFETY WORKS TRIP

We have arranged to take the children to visit the Safety Works Centre in Newcastle. The centre offers interactive opportunities to learn about personal and online safety in an engaging, informative and age-appropriate manner, based on situations our pupils may be involved in. Sessions are hosted by the Fire Service, the Police, School Crossing Patrol Officers, the RNLI and the Railway Police. This visit forms part of our input on encouraging safe and positive behaviour in the community.

In order to take part in all of the activities on offer, the year group will visit in two separate groups:

5GP & 5RM – Friday 26 th April AM
5SM & 5CB – Friday 26 th April PM

We will return in time for the end of the school day. Please ensure pupils have a coat with them and any medication they may require. Pupils should wear their school uniform. They do not require a packed lunch for the trip as they will have their lunch in school either when they return or before they leave.

In order to facilitate the visit, we ask for a contribution of £5.00 towards the cost of transport and Safety Works fee. Payment can be made via parent-mail or at the main office.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact school.
