Zambia Day

20th October 2017

Zambia Day
On Friday 20th October, the whole school will take part in a day dedicated to Zambia. The purpose of the day is to celebrate our British Council Connecting Classrooms Partnership with Rokana Primary School in Kitwe, Zambia. Over the course of this year, we will be making the partnership more prevalent across school. Zambia Day will allow our pupils to gain some understanding of what it is like to attend an African school. It will also serve as an introduction to our partnership for Year 5 pupils.

Pupils may wear non-uniform (in the colours of the Zambian flag (green, orange, red, black, gold)) for a donation of £1.00 which will go towards the Zambia fund. Pupils who do not wish to wear these colours should wear school uniform. We hope that this day will allow our pupils to gain a slight insight in to the Zambian education system and the stark differences between Zambia and the UK, as well as cultural understanding of Zambia as a country.
